Bike Lhasa To Kathmandu 1100km through Tibet

26 May to 18 June 2010 we will ride more than 1,100 km through Tibet on crushed stone roads and over spectacular mountain passes. The high point of the journey comes when we arrive at the monastery of Rongbuk and see Mount Everest Base Camp (5200m). This is the only trip in the world where you can visit Everest Base Camp with a bicycle! It was here on the North Face that Reinhold Messner began his successful solo ascent of Everest in 1980.

Hard day sightseeing 30 May

Didn't sleep well and all 11 people in our group didn't sleep well accept Carine who slept very well. The thin very dry air give us headache and sinus. We then visited temples with our guide witch speaks very difficult English. Intresting but would have been better if he was better spoken. Got headache but hope to feel better tomorrow. The day after that we start cycling.
